Hi Friend
A PT I know (let's call her Sarah) was struggling to fill her client roster last February.
She had great skills, and amazing testimonials, but couldn't seem to attract new leads. Sound familiar?
Then she did something that seemed almost too simple...
She posted a high-protein pancake recipe on her social media.
But here's the interesting part - she didn't just post the recipe. She shared the story of how she created it for a client who was about to quit on her weight loss because she was stuck in the "cheat meal" mindset.
This client was following The Rock and other fitness influencers on Instagram, watching them demolish mountains of pancakes, pizzas, and burgers on their "cheat days." She felt that to be successful, she needed to restrict herself all week, only to binge on the weekends.
(We all know how that usually ends...)
That single post, showing how to make everyday foods fit into a sustainable plan, generated three consultation calls.
Two of those became long-term clients.
(At £200 per month each, that's £4,800 in annual revenue from one recipe post.)
The secret wasn't in the pancake recipe itself...
It was in showing potential clients that they didn't have to choose between enjoying food and reaching their goals. They didn't need to save pancakes for an epic cheat day that would leave them feeling guilty and off-track.
You see, most people don't fail their fitness journey because they lack willpower.
They fail because they think they have to give up everything they love - or save it all for one massive "cheat day" blowout.
When you show them a better way - that's when magic happens.
Over the next few days, I'm going to share with you how you can use seasonal content (like pancake recipes) to:
Attract new leads without feeling salesy
Show your expertise in a way that resonates
Turn casual followers into paying clients
Help your current clients stay on track (even during celebrations)
Because just like Sarah discovered, sometimes the simplest strategies create the biggest impact.
Best wishes,
Naomi
P.S. Tomorrow, I'll reveal the psychological reason why this approach attracts clients so effectively (and why most trainers get it completely wrong).
