Tuition Waivers:
Get Free Money for College
Tuition waivers are a type of financial aid assistance that can relieve either a small or  significant portion of the total cost of tuition. One of main characteristics that set tuition waivers apart from other forms of financial aid, is the availability. Finding undergraduate tuition waivers can be challenging because they are limited in availability and they are not widely publicized.

*It is important to note that students are responsible for paying the portion of tuition that is not covered by the tuition waiver*

Students can acquire scholarships, grants, work study, and/or student loans to assist with paying the remaining tuition cost.
Students that are searching for tuition waivers should:
  1. Strive to obtain a 3.0 GPA or higher
  2. File a FAFSA to show financial need
  3. Reach out to university financial aid offices to see what's available
  4. Search for tuition waivers that are offered based on your unique talents or recreational hobbies
  5. Seek assistance from your TRiO Upward Bound/Talent Search Coordinator with searching and applying for tuition waivers
