How to manage test anxiety:

1. Quiz yourself or join a study group. Preparation will help you feel more confident when taking it.

2. Use the Anxiety Control Procedure to calm your nerves:

- Close your eyes.

- Breathe in slowly to the count of seven and exhale to the count of seven. Continue this until you feel relaxed.

- Open your eyes and give yourself positive self-talk (ex. "I'm doing a great job!" "I can do this!", etc.)

3. Get plenty of sleep and food! Cramming in a study session the night before will only make your anxiety worse.

Bonus: Chew gum or eat mints during your study sessions and while taking the exam. Peppermint is a natural remedy for boosting memory and concentration.
