Meet Ruthie, director of the JOY Program, a discipleship ministry at a women’s maximum-security state prison for the past 7 years. At Excel, Ruthie will bring powerful teaching on topics such as women’s ministry, spiritual warfare, evangelism, and personal disciplines.

Meet Karen West, a professional artist, photographer, and the owner of Reborn Studios. Using skillful hand-lettering, watercolors, and calligraphy, Karen communicates Biblical truths with elegant beauty. An Excel graduate, she is excited to share her artistic skills with other young ladies.

Meet Susan Horsman, the hospitality coordinator at the IBLP and ALERT campus. From farm table dinners to formal banquets with high-ranking naval officers, Susan has navigated the full spectrum of hospitality scenarios. At Excel, she looks forward to coaching Excel ladies through banquet planning, preparation, and presentation.

Meet Charissa, the kitchen manager at the ALERT and IBLP campus in Big Sandy, TX. From delivering mountains of food for the ALERT battalion to piping delicate cream puffs for “high teas,” Charissa delights in creating beauty in the food she cooks.

Meet Priscilla, a devoted wife, mother, and disciple-maker. From years of ministry in state women’s prisons, to discipling young ladies through the Journey to the Heart program, Priscilla always finds time to invest in those around her with humility and grace.

Sisters Taryn & Mirren Martin share with their parents at conferences and events all over the world. When they’re not traveling, their home is a hub of hospitality, given with an elegant Southern twist. At Excel, Taryn & Mirren will be teaching on time management, evangelism, contentment, hospitality, and the art of conversation.

Meet the Excel coordinators, Anna and Bethany Ferraro — two sisters who are passionate about encouraging young ladies to be all that God has called them to be. From their home in Illinois, they actively serve in their local church, teach music lessons, and share concerts in their community. Along with their parents and seven other siblings, they love serving at IBLP events throughout the year, including Family Conferences, Sound Foundations, and now, Excel. At Excel, they look forward to helping young ladies become “fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God” (Col. 1:10).
