Happy Mother’s Day weekend! Mothers play such a vital role in setting the tone for a family focused on the Lord and His Word. The Apostle Paul noted this influence in the life of young Timothy when he praised the “unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice” (II Timothy 1:5). Mothers have such an important role. They seldom have any “time off” during their round-the-clock schedule. They often are called upon to do a very wide variety of tasks at any time of the day or night, and yet through all of the busyness of life, their persistent and quiet faith can be eternally impacting. What is your goal as a mother? I love the following verse as a mission statement for parents: “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth” (III John 4).
On another note, in just over a week, families will gather in Toccoa, Georgia, anticipating a week of rich fellowship, dynamic speakers, and meaningful sessions for the whole family. After a wonderful conference in Big Sandy, Texas, we have revised and improved the schedule for this next conference in Georgia. In addition to the many live speakers we enjoyed in Big Sandy, Paul and Jenny Speed, Gary Fraley, Shelley Hendry, and Otto Koning will also be joining us in Georgia to share messages that God has laid on their hearts. Other live speakers include Gil Bates, Darren Myers, Gabriel Cleator, Jobe Martin, Dwain Swanson, S.M. Davis, and more.
This weekend is the last opportunity to register at the discounted rates available for the Toccoa Family Conference. At midnight on Tuesday, May 10, online registration will close.
