Subject: Feeding on True Bread

Dear families,

As we look forward to celebrating the Resurrection of Christ on Sunday, Jews around the world are celebrating the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Bread is necessary for life, and every culture has their variety of this basic food: tortillas, naan, pitas, etc. In John 6, Jesus refers to Himself as “that bread of life” and “the living bread.” But what does this mean?

In this Message of the Month, John Van Gelderen unpacks some of the word pictures given in John 6. Using the analogy of physical food, he explains what it means to abide. From sitting at the table to stocking the cupboards, every-day examples can help us to better understand this spiritual reality.

We pray that you will be strengthened and encouraged as you listen to this message and learn what it means to abide in Christ.

In Christ,
