Dear Families,

What is the foundation for your relationships? Do you put Christ first, or is He an afterthought?

In this Message of the Month, Aaron Baker challenges us to put Christ first in our relationships, regardless of our desires. Aaron grew up with the understanding that the Bible was to be the basis for every area of life. He and his wife, Laura, have six children. He serves as the music minister at a church in the Houston, Texas, area, and also leads music at Family Camp each year. Aaron will be an instructor at Sound Foundations this summer.

Aaron shares this message from a surrendered heart, saying, “We’ve been set apart for God, by God, for His service, for His glory, for His honor.” He adds that as children of God, we are set apart and given a different standard of behavior. No longer can we live as we want, following our desires and living for our ambitions. Instead, we follow Christ with a surrendered heart!
Aaron gave this message to young people last year, but the principles he discusses apply to every believer. Young people attending the Student Sessions at a Family Conference will hear this type of message. Registration and housing reservations for the conferences are now open! Visit familyconferences.org for more information.

We hope this month’s message will encourage you to pursue God-honoring relationships!
In Christ,

The Family Conferences Team
