Subject: A Rope, A Shovel, and Prayer

Free message from Eric Ludy!

Dear friends,

Christians need for their prayers to be effective. However, have you ever wondered why your petitions are often short of being answered? In this Message of the Month, Pastor Eric Ludy creatively shares some basic fundamentals of faith-filled praying. Using the simple tools of a rope and a shovel to vividly illustrate relevant Scriptural passages, Pastor Ludy takes some of the basic ABCs of prayer and brings them to life in a simple, yet profound manner.

This message was given at the April Big Sandy Family Conference where the theme was from Philippians 4:6: “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” Pastor Ludy reviews how spiritual truths need to be exercised. In order to understand the spiritual realities of the Kingdom of God, we need to actively “pull down” the promises of God and “dig” for the spiritual treasures that are available for all who believe. Instead, many of God’s children pull only a few tugs or barely dig at all before they quit and respond, “I tried, but it didn’t work!”

If there are seemingly impossible situations in your life or extremely difficult mountains that you need the Lord to move, this Message of the Month — “The Rope and the Shovel” — reminds us that endurance and patience are vital in our walk of faith. You must pray “God-prayers,” not “man-prayers,” that are in agreement with the Lord. As you listen to this impactful 45-minute message, you will be encouraged and challenged to cultivate the Holy Spirit-empowered persistence to prevail in your prayer times.

Bring your heavenly rope and divine shovel along and join others who are making a difference for the Lord!

Sincerely in Christ,
