Dear readers and members,

Some weeks have passed since we organised the Siggen Seminar 2026 - Nature Restoration Plans: the path towards implementation and, after a well deserved Easter break for all of us and some recap, we are pleased to inform that the Siggen Seminar 2026 report is now published and available for download.

The Siggen Seminar 2026 Report is now available!

This year’s seminar brought together experts, national authorities, Protected Area managers and practitioners to exchange insights on the EU Nature Restoration Regulation (EU NRR) and the development of National Nature Restoration Plans.

Across two hybrid sessions, the seminar gathered over 200 participants who contributed to rich discussions on policy context, planning challenges, implementation pathways, and the capacity needs emerging across Europe.

Speakers from ministries, agencies, NGOs, and research initiatives shared practical experiences and highlighted the importance of governance, data quality, stakeholder engagement, financing, and capacity building.

Besides reading the report, and in case you missed it or want a refresher you can also watch the recordings of both online sessions on EUROPARC´s YouTube channel:

Remember that all the all materials are available at the Siggen Seminar 2026 page at EUROPARC website. We hope these resources support your ongoing work on restoration planning and implementation.

Thanks again to all speakers and participants who contributed to this year’s seminar.

To conclude, we would like to remind you that EUROPARC will continue supporting our members in the effective implementation of the EU Nature Restoration Regulation. A dedicated Toolkit on this topic is currently under development and will be released later in 2026.

Stay tuned on our website for updates!

Warm regards,
