Jazz pianist Chris Rutkowski began his career in Detroit, performing with artists such as Marcus Belgrave and The Temptations before pursuing classical composition studies and graduate work at Indiana University. He later spent 20 years in academic music appointments at institutions including the College of Wooster and Indiana–Purdue Fort Wayne. Today, he focuses on performing his original jazz compositions with his group, The Project, at festivals and venues across the region.
