Subject: There is Hope for a New Life!

Dear Friend,

In many ways, this past year was the best 12-month stretch Pure Life Ministries has ever enjoyed. There are several factors that compel me to make such a statement.

On the practical side, our counseling programs had more participants than ever before. That’s a good thing because it means more people are being exposed to the truth and receiving real hope. Many men and women experienced breakthroughs in their spiritual lives that were greatly needed. Only the Holy Spirit can do that!

It was also a great year for us financially, as we were able to complete some much needed renovations and projects.

As we press onward into 2020, we have many challenges ahead of us, but we are excited to see what the Lord will do. We are already witnessing the Lord at work in our midst. For instance, we just had two exceptionally powerful meetings this past month. On both Sundays, the altar was packed with men crying out to God in genuine repentance. It was a tremendous blessing.

Time after time we watch new guys enter our Residential Program nervous, unsure about what they’ve gotten themselves into but with a spark of hope that maybe, just maybe, there really is hope for a new life.

For example, a newcomer senses God’s presence powerfully in our times of worship and is given the opportunity to sit under convicting messages from different speakers. For the first time in his life, he is held accountable to maintain a solid devotional life and is given meaningful reading materials that explain his problems and offer solutions that actually work. The testimony we consistently hear is, “I felt the Spirit of God and I felt hope.”

The bottom line is that this sanctuary in the Kentucky hills can only exist with your continued partnership. Help shows up in different ways as needs present themselves. This past November, we were able to provide a wonderful Thanksgiving meal for students and their families thanks to the contributions of a generous donor. We also recently received an abundance of fresh produce from another friend of the ministry. And our counseling offices are nearly completed with their much-needed facelift because we received full funding on our last giving campaign. Of course, the biggest help to the Residential program and facility are through the gifts that come into our General Fund.

We are also thankful that this is not just a program for those with the means to pay for it. The support to our Scholarship Fund provides a financial resource for those who are in need. International students who cannot work to pay for their program fees while here, need financial assistance. Then there are those with physical limitations or a family to support at home who cannot afford to pay for their program.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for partnering with us through your giving and your prayers. You are as much a part of our work as those who sacrifice their lives to live and work here. One day we will surround our Heavenly King to sing praises for the work He has done in and through us. I eagerly look forward to celebrating His work with you on that day.

Love in Christ,
Steve Gallagher,
President
