Dear Friend,

We have received such a prompt and generous response to our last two Appeal letters that Kathy and I felt compelled to take a moment and personally thank you for your faithfulness to the Lord’s work here at Pure Life Ministries. Through your faithful obedience both the Main House Bathrooms Project and the Counseling Department Renovations have been fully funded. Thank you so much!

As you may have seen in our Summer Newsletter, the Main House Bathrooms Project was completed in early August, and we could not be happier with the very professional job our maintenance guys have done. Currently, we are completing some much-needed repairs to the foundation of one of our staff houses, and this fall we intend to begin renovations to our Counseling Department—which, again, you have fully funded.

In our latest eAppeal, we shared with you our need for a new ministry van, and the testimony of a long-time Partner who was moved with compassion to sponsor a Matching Funds Campaign. We never get tired of watching the Lord move in mighty ways around here. He touched many of your hearts there as well, and as of this writing, we have received nearly 90% of the goal. For this too, we thank you.

This ministry was founded in a Spirit of Gratitude and has been bathed in prayer from day one. We have learned through the years that a grateful heart does not covet or lust. Therefore, it is one of the fundamentals we try to both model and instill in all those enrolled in our Counseling programs.

A vibrant and daily prayer life is crucial to any Christian’s walk, especially in these intense days. It too is something we strive to model and instill into our counselees—especially the men who enroll in our Residential Program. Speaking of that, did you know that this January will mark 30 years it has been in full-time operation? Without your prayers and financial support, that would NOT be possible. Again, for all this we are very grateful to God and you.

Please know that we often lift you up in prayer and thanksgiving in our staff prayer times. The staff also lead the men of the Residential Program in prayers of thanksgiving and intercession on your behalf every Friday evening.

We find there is no better way to pray to the Lord than through His own Word. Kathy and I pray that the following prayer washes over you and blesses you. This expresses God's heart, and ours, for you:
For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.
