One of the blessings of the Jesus Movement of the early Seventies was a resurgent interest in the return of Christ. Hal Lindsay’s “The Late Great Planet Earth” was followed by a slew of end times movies, eschatological teachings and the “Left Behind” series of books and films.
It has now been 50 years since this renewed anticipation of Christ’s return took hold in the Christian community, but, unfortunately, that excitement has long since died out and been replaced by a low-level cynicism about the Second Coming. Jesus fully understood this tendency and repeatedly warned end time Christians to be ready, “for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.” (Matthew 24:44) Nevertheless, despite current skepticism, Jesus is coming, and He is coming soon!
Our theme for our upcoming 22nd Annual Conference (April 22nd and 23rd, 2022) will be, “When Jesus Returns, What Will He Find?” It will be held in the Answers Center at the Ark Encounter in Williamstown, KY, only 15 minutes from the Pure Life campus. Every year our conference features Spirit-led worship services, powerful and timely messages from God’s Word, informative panel discussions and, of course, wonderful opportunities for fellowship. Tours of the Residential Campus are held on Saturday, and our weekend is always capped with our Alumni & Friends Benefit Banquet on Saturday night, featuring the Residential Program student choir. Additionally, this year we will host a Call to Purity Pre-Conference event on Thursday April 21st. Spots are limited, so register and reserve yours today!
