Dear Friend,
For the past eighty years, our nation has been sinking ever deeper into moral chaos. The average 1940’s American would be appalled by the depravity that now passes as normal. Had God’s people maintained a burning zeal for His presence, our churches would be safe havens where believers could find refuge from the onslaught of spiritual darkness. But alas, much of the Church has accepted the sexualization of our culture without much concern. Therefore, the typical Christian tends to shrug, telling himself, “Everyone struggles; no one is perfect.” So the cycle continues—temptation, failure, shame, and resignation.
But imagine what it would be like for this Christian man to be ushered into a place where social media, carnal entertainment, and the ever-present pull of sensuous imagery were stripped away? A place that would provide him with biblical discipleship, godly counsel, and fervent prayer on his behalf.
This is precisely the kind of environment we strive to cultivate at Pure Life Ministries.
Maintaining our Residential Program requires spiritual vigilance—but practical projects as well! Over the past few years, we have invested much time and energy upgrading our student dormitories, including purchasing new furniture and adding new decor.
Most recently, we decided to significantly improve the functionality and aesthetic of three of our dorm kitchens.
Project #1: The Main House kitchen ($21,500)
The Main House kitchen sees a large amount of traffic in the early morning hours, as dozens of students make coffee, prepare breakfast and get their lunches ready for work. This renovation will:
- Upgrade countertops to stainless steel
- Install new (and additional) upper and lower cabinets for increased storage space
- Reconfigure the layout of the kitchen for a more effective workflow
