Subject: Another Meaningful Conference!

Dear Friend,

It’s hard to believe that our 2023 Annual Conference is already a month behind us! And what a conference it was! Our largest conference to date, we were so thankful to see so many alumni as well as first-time attendees joined us for worship at the Ark Encounter. The Spirit of God was moving among us – both in person and over the livestream. Let me share with you some quick testimonies:
Bob shared, “I had no idea what to expect coming to the conference. Our son enrolled in the residential program in January 2022 because of our Pastor's recommendation. We were devastated.  We had never heard of Pure Life before. My son's counselor invited me to attend [the conference], so I did. What I experienced is hard to express. I was immediately reminded of Jesus' words in Luke 7:47 "Wherefore I say unto thee, her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little." The changes in my son's life are real. I felt like I was in the company of repentant, humble people who loved Jesus. Praise God!”

Rachel remarked, “My key takeaway from the conference was ‘There is Hope!’ I needed to see there is life and freedom possible after porn/sexual addiction.  My older children have each struggled in this area because of their phones, and two of them are so bound by it. Our younger children have sadly witnessed the destructive consequences of sexual sin in their older siblings’ lives. At the banquet Saturday night, we were seated front and center. The [testimony of the] men’s choir was powerful! God spoke to my heart, ‘These two children have had a front row seat to witness the bondage of sin and its destruction; now I am giving them a front row seat to witness My power to redeem and set the captive FREE!’ The whole conference was such a comfort to my heart and revived my faith to hold on for the victory!”
It is a joy to hear how the Lord met people in such a powerful way, and we hope these testimonies are just the first among many of what the Lord wants to accomplish at and through Pure Life Ministries this year.

At our Alumni & Friends Benefit Banquet, we took up an offering with a goal of raising funds for our operating budget. As this is the only in-person fundraiser we do each year, our goal was to raise $125,000. We did come in a little short at $113,000, but we rejoice for what was given. We are so grateful for all who have already given, especially sacrificially, to support the work of the Lord here at Pure Life. If you were unable to give in person but would like to make a one-time donation, you can do that by visiting purelifeministries.org/donate-23.

I should also mention that if you would like to become a monthly financial partner with Pure Life Ministries, you can do so at the same link and select “Recurring Donation.” It is because of our monthly partners that we are able to accomplish the Lord’s work on an ongoing manner. We are so thankful for all of you who already partner with us regularly.

At the Conference, speaker Ofer Amitai reminded us that we can either waste our lives on the world or we can waste our lives on Jesus. It’s my prayer for you today that as we continue to waste our lives on the work of the Lord, that He will receive the glory due His name and that the people in our realm of influence would be impacted by His mercy flowing through us.

We were reminded that the world – and all of its desires – are passing away, but we are so encouraged that the one who does the will of God lives forever. May He bless you and your family today!

In Christ’s Service,
Steve Gallagher,
President
