You do have courage.
Dear Friend

You are brave.

What you are doing to figure out your illness, advocate for yourself and still keep going, even when those around you just don’t seem to understand, takes incredible courage.

You are doing this alone, fighting to reclaim and rebuild your life in the face of incredible odds.

I see you and you are amazing.

You have such immense courage.

Even when nobody else can see it.

Even when you feel alone, afraid and overwhelmed.

Even when you feel like giving up.

It takes courage to get out of bed in the morning when you feel exhausted and in pain.

It takes courage to hold yourself together by sheer grit and determination to get through your day at work, or care for your children, or be there for others who need you.

It takes courage to go from Doctor to Doctor, trying to find someone who will actually listen to you and do something practical to help and support you.

It takes courage to shoulder the almost full time job of self-care and symptom management while still doing what you have to do to survive.

So in case you are feeling hopeless, or helpless or busy beating yourself up for not being enough, not trying hard enough or not being able to do enough, I wanted to remind you that you do have courage.

You are absolutely worth every single moment that you spend trying to heal yourself.

You are absolutely as wonderful, worthy, deserving and loveable as you always have been.

So if you feel that you have lost your courage Friend, rest, cry, rage and dig a little deeper.

You will find your courage waiting there for you.

You are brave.

You are amazing.

You are worth it.

Biggest hugs.

Kerry.
