Hey there Friend,
Firstly, I want to say a very big "thank you" to each and every one of you who took the time to reply to my last email, and shared your thoughts about where I could best use my time and energy going forward.
I had more responses to that email than any previous email ever before and I made sure that I replied with thanks to every single one!
For many and various reasons you all let me know in the most supportive and nicest way possible that there isn't a market for me in creating an online course about Acceptance and Chronic illness.
Which is a great thing for me to know because continuing down that path would ultimately be a waste of my valuable time and energy and having that feedback now leaves me free to decide.
While it isn't quite clear to me yet, I am feeling drawn in the direction of putting more time and energy into my podcast as the feedback on my episodes is consistently positive and appreciative and my audience is slowly growing.
More importantly than that, in the past few months, my podcast has bought me some wonderful new clients who have chosen to work with me!
What I am also beginning to think seriously about though is realistically, how much longer I want to keep working for?
I am just over 2.5 years away from retirement age here in Australia where I could then access the aged pension and no longer need to be reliant on consistently finding new clients.
As anyone running an online business in the helping profession knows, it's a constant ebb and flow of income and requires a lot of time and energy to do everything required on your own.
Especially with the limited energy and issues that come with doing all this with chronic illness!
So while I have never really focused on retirement as I do love what I do and all of the amazing and inspiring people I have the privilege of getting to know and work with from all over the world, I am starting to think that it would be the best move for me.
After all, if there is one thing chronic illness has shown me, is that we never really know how much time we have and the quality of my life is by far, the most important priority for me.
So that's where I am up to so far with that Friend!
I am sure it will all become clearer to me as time goes on as to what is going to be best for me and my future directions.
In the meantime Season 4, episode 4 of my Emotional Autoimmunity podcast is out now, all published and waiting for you to download!
This episode is a collaboration between myself, my clients and my social media community.
We all know that one of the biggest issues we face is the lack of understanding about what chronic illness is and the ongoing impact it has on us.
In this episode I share what those of us living with chronic illness most want people to understand and trust me, everyone who contributed to this did not hold back!
This podcast is a great one to share with your friends, family, partners and chronic illness communities because we tell it like it is and share exactly what the impact is of this lack of understanding.
Make sure you listen and share this one and if you want to help me reach more people who need to hear this, I would so appreciate it if you would leave a positive review on your favorite podcast player!
Let's help educate and spread the word of the practical realities and emotional issues that becoming chronically ill bring, from those who know it best.
It is only by sharing our stories and experiences that we can help someone else know that they are not alone when it comes to chronic illness.
You can listen by clicking on the podcast image below or search and subscribe to the Emotional Autoimmunity podcast on your favorite podcast player.
