Hey Friend,
I don't know about you, but I am really feeling the end of year weariness that always seems to creep in for me at around mid November.
I start feeling very ready for this year to be over, wanting to get things cleared up, loose ends tied off and go into the New Year with a sense of excitement of good things to come.
Generally I leave my yearly reflection on what worked, what didn't, what I need more of and what I want to release on New Years eve but this year, I am beginning now which has lead to some big changes happening to give me more space and energy in 2020.
The first big change is that after 2 years of being present daily, responding to posts, ensuring the group rules are being kept, deleting spammers, toxic people and nasty posts, I am ending my EA Support Group on Facebook on 31st January 2020.
If you are part of my support group, the reasons why I am closing it down and my process behind it are all written out in a pinned post for you to read within the group.
One of my core beliefs that is even more important to me since chronic illness, is that I need to put myself first so this is me walking my talk.
I noticed that as much as I love my group and the wonderful people in it, it was beginning to feel like an obligation, rather than something that I truly wanted to do and I was beginning to feel the first signs of burn out.
I also realised that ending the group would free up so much mental and physical energy for me as after those 2 years of being in the group daily, I can finally set up my weekends up so that they are 100% work free!
Please note, this has nothing to do with my Facebook business page, Emotional Autoimmunity. That is not going anywhere!
The second big change is to my Emotional Autoimmunity Podcast which is another labour of love.
The podcast so far has been interview based which is a lot of time spent trying to find guests, gather information and images, try to work out international time zones to book in and record the session, then needing all the links to their websites and bio.
It's just so much work!
So from next year the EA podcast will be me, myself and I.
The podcasts will be shorter, around 20 to 30 minutes of me sharing common emotional issues that come with chronic illness, offering some advice and support and even having a few "Ask Kerry" podcasts where I will answer any questions sent in by my audience. This is going to save me so much more valuable time and energy that I get to spend on me or other projects.
I am already feeling the relief!
I am still reviewing what I am doing and how much energy is being expended where, because my theme word for 2020 is SIMPLIFY and make life as easy as I possibly can for me.
I am still working through to January 2020 and only having the main days of Christmas and boxing day off so it's not to late Friend, to book your FREE 25 minute Discovery Session with me using the link below to find out how my therapy programs can help you get your life back.
But, I do advise you to make your booking for January next year because a very special discount is going to be coming your way on the 1st of January 2020. Shhh you didn't hear that from me.
warm wishes Kerry
P.P.S.
Episode 28 of the EA podcast with my special guest, V Capaldi.
V Capaldi otherwise known as "The Paleo Boss Lady" is a force to be reckoned with. V was raised in a very dysfunctional family where chaos was the norm in life. At 23 years old and 6 weeks after marrying her childhood sweetheart, V was given a death sentence diagnosis that she had an inoperable brain tumour and lived for almost 6 months believing her life was over. Then the death sentence turned to a life sentence when her diagnosis was changed to MS. As a result, her whole life blew up. The twitching and spasms in her face caused by the MS made her own Father unable to look at her. After investing all of her money and assets into conventional treatments and testing, V now manages her life and health naturally, is passionate about creating community and gives generously of her time to help as many people as she can. I have to say, speaking with V was an absolute delight and I felt I had found a kindred spirit who shares my passion for helping and educating people about the emotional issues of life with chronic illness and the way it totally change your life. Warning: This podcast does contain some strong language. Have a listen to the episode on the blog using the link below or find it on iTunes, Spotify or other podcast platforms.
