GROOVIN' 18-PIECE BIG BAND "THE OTHER ORCHESTRA"

Celebrate summer and groove with the 18 Piece Big Band “The Other Orchestra” on the patio at LaZingara Restaurant. They are feisty, fun, and funky and they have been rocking the house, playing music from Steely Dan, Tower of Power, Frank Zappa, and many other great modern composers and arrangers since March 2011. Enjoy a tantalizing mix of jazz standards, fusion favorites, and quality rock tunes.

A favorite traditional community event, this tribute to Children’s Librarian, Susan Ei on Pequot Library’s one-of-a-kind Great Lawn featurees hamburgers, hot dogs, and veggie burgers on the grill, The Merwin Mountain Band on music, plus lawn games galore and s’mores around the campfire. Come for any part of the evening, or pitch your tent and camp all night. Remember to bring a pillow for the Big Pillow Fight!
