Celebrate the Summer Solstice and join over 1000 cities worldwide in a global celebration of music inspired by France’s Fête de la Musique. Open to all musicians — young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical persuasion. Free and open to the public. Check out the programs in Fairfield, New Canaan, Norwalk, Ridgefield and Stratford.

In partnership with Arts Alliance of Stratford, Make Music Stratford is a live, free musical celebration at Sterling House Community Center, The Stratford Library & The Baldwin Center. Eight musical performers from 4:00 - 9:00 PM and 2 food trucks. Two music workshops: Peter Menta: Basics of Blues Harmonica and Iyaba Ibo Mandingo will lead a workshop for kids on drum making. All materials will be supplied. For ages 7 – 12.

Gather friends and pack a picnic for an evening with one of Connecticut’s most enduring Rhythm & Blues bands. Established more than fifty years ago by band leader Billy Frenz, Billy and the Showmen deliver high impact entertainment playing the best Rhythm and Blues, Motown, Funk, and Soul.
