SARAH JONES TRIO CD RELEASE PARTY

Dinner is on for 6:30 followed by a 7:45 show celebrating the Sarah Jones Trio CD Release Party (Bucky Pizzarelli, Etta Jones), featuring Michael Camacho (drums), Bassist Alec Safy and Sarah Jones on piano. Sarah has performed with jazz legends and is often found performing with NYC mainstay big bands such as the Lew Anderson Big Band at Birdland and is currently performing with bestselling author and tenor James McBride.

Reggie Harris and Greg Greenway share a compelling and deeply personal musical performance about racial injustice in America faced down with creative resistance, friendship, music, and joy. This musical experience has been described as “a profoundly moving evening of deep sharing… riveting, poignant, joyful… with exquisite timing, careful phrasing, and the stellar musicianship and storytelling.” Proceeds benefit Becoming Anti-Racist (BAR), a program of the local Council of Churches.

CELEBRATING 65 YEARS

Quick Center for the Arts, Fairfield

As one of the world’s longest running and most iconic events, this festival celebrates its anniversary with a once-in-a-lifetime ensemble. Featuring Grammy Award-winning vocalist Kurt Elling, alongside new vocal sensation Veronica Swift, and critically acclaimed rising star saxophonist Lakecia Benjamin, this band will be directed by pianist (and CT-native) Christian Sands and anchored by his longtime rhythm section, bassist Yasushi Nakamura and drummer Clarence Penn.
