Thank you once again for helping us meet our mission to support cultural organizations, artists and creative businesses through our marketing, capacity building, professional development, and advocacy initiatives.

Every day, you motivate us to strengthen and enhance the Arts and Culture landscape of Fairfield County. Thank you!

Because of your support, we are happy to share the following highlights:

It's Official: The Arts Drive the Economy in Fairfield County

A small investment in the Arts reaps huge returns! Fairfield County’s nonprofit arts and culture industry generated $255.3 million in economic activity in 2022, according to the newly released Arts & Economic Prosperity 6 (AEP6), an economic and social impact study conducted by Americans for the Arts. That economic activity–$179.7 million in spending by nonprofit arts and culture organizations and $75.6 million in event-related expenditures by their audiences supported 4,015 jobs and generated $62.6 million in local, state, and federal government revenue. Spending by arts and culture audiences generates valuable commerce for local merchants, a value-add that few other industries can compete with.

New England Foundation for the Art's Executive Director, Harold Steward Visits Fairfield County

It started as a fabulous Meet and Greet with New England Foundation of the Arts Executive Director, Harold Steward and ended as a collision of ideas and collaborations-to-be. CAFC members convened at MoCA Westport and Housatonic Museum of Art to meet NEFA's new executive director. Elizabeth Shapiro, Director of Arts, Preservation and Museums for the CT Office of the Arts (COA), was present and supportive of the convening.

15th Annual Bridgeport Art Trail Showcases City-wide Arts & Culture

Bridgeport's art scene is alive and thriving! As a result, the entire city is pulsing with energy and excitement. There are galleries where abandoned factories once stood, murals splashing color all over the city, poetry slams, music, film, theatre, demos, food, and so much more! Thousands of people come to Bridgeport as a destination, especially during the Bridgeport Art Trail weekend. With 50+ unique venues and hundreds of talented artists, Bridgeport is a model for community transformation through the arts. We are honored to support the arts and culture landscape of Bridgeport and all 15 towns in our region.
