As the August sun sets and a waning gibbous moon rises through the trees, join Greenwich Audubon among friends, drinks, and timber rafters more than a century old. Gather in the newly renovated Asnes Barn to enjoy drinks, food, and conversation in the setting of our beautiful, historic barn. Afterwards, walk the paved accessible trail to take in the sights and sounds of a moonlit summer evening. (More)

Celebrating the anniversary of Gustave Whitehead’s flight in 1901 at Turney’s Farm in Fairfield, a replica of Whitehead’s No. 21 “Flyer” will be on display, and Hobbytown will give aerial demonstrations of remote controlled aircraft and drones. (More)

Opening Reception

The public is invited to a reception for Bending Reality, the paintings of  Cultural Alliance members Norm Siegel, Marjorie Poe, and Al Coyote Weiner. The artists will talk about their work at 5:30. The show runs through October 1.  (More)

Angels in America, Part 1

Quick Center

America in the mid-1980s. In the midst of the AIDS crisis and a conservative Reagan administration, New Yorkers grapple with life and death, love and sex, heaven and hell. This new National Theatre production is sold-out in London. NT Live is about the only way to see it. (More)

A Religious Hope from the Movies screening of DEFENDING YOUR LIFE, a 1991 comedy with Albert Brooks and Meryl Streep, that invites viewers to probe deep questions about life and death. Rabbi Joshua Hammerman of Temple Beth El in Stamford will host a post-film discussion. (More)
