Hello Miracle Family,
This is the time of year when the world gets busy making plans for how to be better. Resolutions. Habits. Routines. Goals. It all seems useful. But for many, it’s built on the quiet belief that says, “I’m still not enough.”
A Course in Miracles invites us into something different.
Lesson 94 says, “I am as God created me.” That isn’t just saying you’re okay. It’s saying you are perfect. Whole. Complete. Innocent. Loved. Loving. Accepted. Not someday—now. Not once you heal or grow—now.
The addiction to self-correction is deep. It can look like self-discipline, personal growth, even spiritual dedication. But underneath it, there’s fear. The belief that love must be earned. That peace must be proven. That we are not acceptable as we are.
That’s the lie this lesson gently undoes.
You are not a problem to solve. You are not a mistake to correct. You are not here to become someone better. You are here to remember who you already are.
When you accept the truth, the ego becomes irrelevant. It may still talk, but it loses authority. It has no ground to stand on when you are no longer trying to prove your worth.
Practice this:
When you feel the pull to adjust, manage, or fix something about yourself so that you’ll be more acceptable—pause.
Ask, “What part of me believes I must be different in order to be loved, accepted or safe?”
Then say,
This week’s class isn’t asking you to try harder. It’s inviting you to trust more deeply. To start this new cycle not with effort, but with remembrance. You were created perfect, and nothing real has changed.
May we enter this new year with intention and gratitude, knowing that peace, love and joy are our shared goals.
With love,
Earl
