Hello, My Mighty Companion,

Sometimes a single lesson holds enough truth to last a lifetime. That is why I chose to stay with Lesson 284 again this week: “I can elect to change all thoughts that hurt.”

A Course in Miracles is not something to race through like a romance novel. It is something to live with, to sit in, and to let take root. The only way that happens is through repetition.

The ego got programmed through repetition, and the truth will only awaken us the same way. Just like learning a new language, we do not become fluent after hearing a phrase once. We repeat it, we practice it, and little by little, the words stop being theory and start to become the way we live. That is how we move from spiritual grammar school to spiritual fluency.

So this week, we are doing it again. We are repeating the lesson, not because we missed it, but because there is more to receive from it. The Course does not ask us to analyze or debate it. It asks us to use it. The more we use it, the more it works.

If you have ever thought, “I should be further along by now,” I want to remind you that you are right on time. You are learning the language of truth, and fluency takes patience, trust, and practice. Every repetition is a step closer to peace.

Walking the Path Together

Over the past month, I took a brief pause to rest, listen, and heal. In that stillness, I entered into a deeper conversation with Spirit and received new clarity about how I am meant to serve. What came through is simple: love more, listen more, and share what brings peace.

I return now with a renewed sense of purpose and an even stronger connection to the guidance that leads us all. Every session, every teaching, every moment of service is part of that divine flow.

Learn the Language of Truth through Repetition

Learning to think with the truth is just like learning to speak a new language. At first, it feels awkward. You’re not confident. You stumble through the words. You don’t always know what you’re saying or if you’re saying it right. But over time, through repetition and practice, you begin to speak that language more fluently.

That’s exactly how healing works in A Course in Miracles. As we look again at Lesson 284, we are reminded: “I can elect to change all thoughts that hurt.” That one sentence is the foundation of the new language we’re here to learn.

Repetition is how we begin to speak the language of truth, not just as a concept but as something we live and experience.

Five Steps to Changing Your Inner Language

There is a learning process involved when you shift from ego-thought to God-thought. And the Course gives us a powerful five-step method for learning this new internal language.

A Course in Miracles Is Not Incompatible with Astrology

You know, people often ask me, “Earl, how can you teach A Course in Miracles and still love

astrology?” And I smile and say, “Because the stars are not my prison. They’re my

classroom.”

Both astrology and A Course in Miracles speak the same divine language: symbols. The stars don’t make you who you are. They reflect how you think. The Course tells us, “Projection makes perception,” and that’s exactly what astrology shows us. The heavens are like a mirror that helps us see what’s going on in our own minds.

The ego likes to use astrology to defend limitation. You know the line: “I can’t help it, Earl,

I’m a Scorpio.” But the Holy Spirit uses astrology to reveal opportunity. The same birth chart

that the ego uses to excuse fear, the Spirit uses to teach forgiveness. Every planet, every

sign, every transit is just another chance to choose peace instead of pain.

When we look at astrology through the lens of the Course, it stops predicting and starts

illuminating. Mercury retrograde isn’t out to get you—it’s just a divine pause button

reminding you to listen and communicate with love. Saturn isn’t punishment—it’s spiritual

strength training. Pluto isn’t destruction—it’s transformation with purpose.

As A Course in Miracles says, “Seek not to change the world, but choose to change your mind about the world.” I say, “Seek not to change the stars—see them differently.” Astrology

doesn’t compete with miracles; it cooperates with them. Both lead you back to the same

truth: you are not limited by form—you are limitless in Spirit.

When I read a chart, I don’t see fate—I see forgiveness. I see a pattern of purpose. I see

where the mind is asking for love instead of judgment. That’s what real astrology is for. It’s

not about what’s coming next—it’s about how to see right now differently.

So if you’ve ever felt that pull between cosmic curiosity and Course-centered spirituality,

relax. You can love both. You’re not breaking the rules of heaven by looking up at the

sky—you’re remembering who made the sky in the first place.

Affirmation: “The heavens reflect the lessons I choose with love today. I am not bound by the stars; I am illumined by their light.”
