Winter Wellness Series

March closes off our winter wellness offerings, and we are so very excited be able to bring you the following community building workshops, through partnerships with various BIPOC facilitators and Success In Motion.

Note: Mindful Monday, Workout Wednesday, and Transformation Thursday workshops happen on a weekly basis.

DISCLAIMER: The above is not a comprehensive list of all our collective workshop offerings. Please see below for workshops that may not be highlighted on our programming partner's calendar.

Body Work wit Ben Brown: This workshop will focus on self-massage and how to feel better and create more space in your body and nervous system. We'll use our hands, movement, and everyday props to open our bodies, provide relief from stress and tension, and self-soothe.

You'll leave with:

  • A better understanding of the benefits of listening to your body.

  • Simple practices to approach aches and pain.

  • How to self-massage can help reduce day-to-day stress in the body.

Bilingual Yoga with Rosana Rodriguez: Pure MInd, Pure Body, Pura Vida are the mantras embodied by Rosana Rodriguez, mental health expert, yogi, and founder of Yogiando NYC. Her workshops are not just a magical, healing experience for the mind and body, but a unique experience that is made accessible to a wider community through it's linguistic uniqueness. Rosana fluently engages her audience in both Spanish and English, as she holds space for us to enter and find refuge from the noise that surrounds us. Join us on this healing journey; invite your colleagues, students, families, and all members of the school community. Experience with yoga is not necessary; all you need is comfortable clothing and a quiet space to engage.

Promoting Teacher Endeavors

We are thrilled to be able to support educators who are engaged in wellness practices outside of TC. This month, we learned about Joanne Edmonson a NYC elementary school teacher who has taken COVID-Era fitness to another level and is supporting many women in doing the same. Learn more about her through the interview linked here. In the meantime, check out some of the weekly offerings from her network.
