Subject: 🇺🇸 CA Jail Outreach Monthly Newsletter - Inspiring Change, January Edition, Volume 1

In this newsletter, you will find the monthly theme, a challenge, and our special projects. Your participation inspires our volunteers.

The CA Jail Outreach Organization sends warm wishes for a Happy New Year 2025! We are excited about all the wonderful plans we have for this year. Thank you for your continued prayers, and we look forward to working with you!

Below, you will find our January Monthly Themes, a challenge program, and a project. Combined, these elements will help you engage with others and foster a great spiritual year. This initiative was started with inmates and their families, and it is proving to be very successful in helping them grow closer to the Lord and understand the Word of God.

Based on feedback from participants, we have decided to extend this initiative to everyone who can benefit from serving the Lord and deepening their relationship with the Heavenly Father. We invite all businesses, organizations, churches, and servants of the Lord to join us. You can easily adapt these ideas to fit your own branding and needs. If you require assistance, please feel free to reach out to us. We are glad to help!

Each month, we offer a new theme to help us stay focused and motivated in serving the Lord. Additionally, every four months, we introduce a new theme project that still aims to guide people to heaven.

"Vessel Unto Honour"

Monthly Theme

I’m excited to share that each month we’ll be introducing a new theme to help us all focus on personal growth. If your church or organization wants to jump on board and use this idea to connect with your members, please feel free — we’d love that!

Let’s work together to support one another and make a positive impact in our community. All I ask in return is for your prayers and support for inmates and their families who have loved ones in the jail system.

Below newsletter, you’ll find a brief introduction to this month’s theme along with the reasons we chose it. A lot of heartfelt prayer and meditation went into selecting these monthly themes, so we truly appreciate your support. Thanks so much, and let’s continue to lift each other up!

2 Timothy 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

Join The Movement!

We’re super excited to kick off this project and can’t wait to share it with all of you on our email list! Our hope is that each of you will reach out and share the Gospel with at least one person in the next couple of months. It’s a great way to make a difference!

We’re also looking for amazing people to help us connect with inmates and their families through the jail’s email system. Every four months, we’ll introduce a new project, but our mission will always stay the same: to reach out and invite people to a beautiful place called heaven!

Hey everyone! We’d love to invite all church members to get involved in your local church and help us spread the message to just one person. It would mean so much to us if churches could incorporate this initiative into their outreach programs! Plus, we’ll be sharing some fun monthly tips on how to share the Gospel of Christ, so keep an eye out! Let’s join hands and make a positive impact together!

We truly appreciate your prayers and support as we embark on this journey. Thank you for being such an important part of this wonderful community! Check out the tips for sharing the Gospel below.

Below the newsletter is a brief introduction to the project.

40 Days & 40 Miles Challenge

40/40 Ways to Grow Closer to God.

This challenge has been thriving among inmates within the jail system. They are using the yard to walk a mile while reading the book of Proverbs. Once they return, they utilize their tablets to listen to God's Word.

To get involved, we send out random emails to inmates through the jail email system. We provide them with tasks related to Proverbs and encourage them to apply these lessons to their lives. They also share this information with other inmates.

Overall, the initiative is going well, and we encourage everyone to participate. Please take a moment to read the lesson insert below. If you want more details, click the link at the end of the paragraph. Additionally, I’ve posted a video of me participating in the challenge for you to listen to. Enjoy the challenge! Remember, you can take the knowledge you gain and apply it to your organization’s branding.

Stay connected with us on all social media platforms to keep up with the latest news from our organization. We share spiritual tips and quick Bible lessons. By following us, you'll find inspiration that you can also share with your own organizations.

Below the newsletter is a brief introduction to the project.

CA Jail Outreach Updates

Last month, we were able to help five families in need during the holidays. We delivered five Christmas trees with decorations and provided gifts for the children. Additionally, we included a Bible for each home, a salvation tract, prayer cards, and Christian coloring books for the kids.

We are expanding our efforts to the Sacramento Prison system. There, we have opportunities to meet inside and host Christian musical events. Please pray that we can gather all the necessary paperwork to bring our organization inside and plan upcoming events.

We are also looking for individuals to create videos to be shared on the jail server across the USA. With tablets being implemented in prisons nationwide, this is a great opportunity for us to add Christian videos to the platform.

Please include us in your prayer list.

What are we doing Now?

Vessel Unto Honour: The phrase "vessel unto honour" comes from Paul, who wants to inspire Timothy and his followers with some positive examples. In 2 Timothy 2, Paul talks about being a good soldier, an athlete, and a hardworking farmer—all relatable images! This theme of being a "vessel unto honour" can truly resonate with every believer in Christ. These principles can help us lead lives that reflect our faith! Click Here to discover more!

The Luke 15:7 Project: Welcome to The Luke 15:7 Project! We are igniting a movement, encouraging all Christians to commit to winning at least one soul by year’s end. Just think about the joy in Heaven over even one soul saved! In this memoir/blog, we’ve gathered a treasure trove of creative and easy suggestions to kickstart your journey to "win one." We’d love for you to share your stories with us!

Let’s not forget the powerful story of Jesus and the two thieves (inmates) who were crucified alongside Him: one embraced the Savior’s call, while the other turned away. This inspiring message embodies our mission: "Each One Reach One." Click Here to discover more!

And consider these eye-opening stats:

- 47% of Christian millennials believe sharing their faith with others is wrong (Barna Group).

- 66% of Christians don’t know how to share their faith in Jesus (Christian Post).

- A staggering 95% of weekly churchgoers have never led someone to Christ (Barna Group).

- 81% have never shared their faith with anyone!

- Even more surprising, 81% haven’t participated in evangelism efforts (Barna Group).

40 Days & 40 Miles Challenge: Are you ready for an exciting journey to get closer to God while shedding some extra pounds? This is a great opportunity for us to unite and support one another! I’ve decided to take on this challenge because my daughter jokingly told me I have a “Winnie the Pooh belly.” LOL! Additionally, I’m committing to a no-sugar diet for the next 40 days. Just a quick reminder: please consult with your doctor first to ensure you’re healthy enough to participate in this no-sugar challenge and to walk or run.

Here’s how it works: Each day, you’ll take a 1-mile walk or run while focusing on the Lord—either by yourself or with friends. You'll also dive into some thoughtful scripture readings! And for those of you who want to supercharge your challenge, we’ve got some fun optional daily tasks designed to help you grow in your faith and become more like Christ.

Social Media: Here are some quick statistics about how we are reaching people. We have received requests from families and friends who want to connect with their loved ones in the jail system. We can communicate with most inmates across the USA through the jail email system and video conference system. Not only are we helping inmates, but we are also providing family members with valuable information on how to walk with the Lord through social media. Our assistance extends beyond the families of inmates; we aim to help others as well. If you haven't followed us on social media yet, please do!

Our Vision and the Path Ahead

Katherine is excited to share that she is currently developing a curriculum for children aged 2 to 4! In just 8 months, she'll be celebrating her Doctorate in Education—how amazing is that? As part of her journey, Katherine is creating a 200-page curriculum titled "I CAN: A Journey of Faith and Growth" for her doctoral program. We plan to share this curriculum with faith-based organizations on a donation-only basis. Each time we assist someone, they will receive a Bible, a prayer card, or a salvation tract, along with a copy of the curriculum. Check out the cover page below!

I just wanted to share a quick update. I've had to pause my memoirs and blog posts for a little while longer, but I have about 20 drafts ready to go! I just need to add some graphs and do a bit of editing before I can post them on the website. The reason for the hold-up is that I’m currently working on a project called "GROWTH: The Key to a Thriving Organization." It started out as internal training for our organization, but the feedback has been so positive that I’m excited to turn it into a pamphlet to share with others! We’re at 30 pages right now and are busy in the editing phase. I’d really appreciate your thoughts and prayers that we can wrap this up in the next 30 days. Below, you’ll find some graphs and a list of topics I’m working on.

Closing thoughts: I was in Butte County for an in-person visit where we discussed how to attain eternal life through Jesus. As I was being escorted out, one of the female sheriff's deputies approached us and mentioned the immediate need for ministry. Apparently, one of the female inmates had just lost her firstborn child in a tragic car accident in Florida. We spoke with her, prayed, and offered words of comfort. She asked about heaven, and I explained how to be saved. However, she wasn’t quite ready to take that step. Here’s the blessing: Although the female inmate did not receive Jesus Christ as her personal savior, the female sheriff's deputy did. She said the sinner's prayer in the corridors of the jail. Praise the Lord!
