We are thrilled to share the latest developments in our journey towards creating positive change and supporting those in need. Let’s unite in our mission as we implement the following guiding principles: Keep your focus on the greater good, reinforcing hope and support for those we serve. By adhering to these principles, we are not just following rules; we are forging pathways of compassion and understanding. Join us in our commitment to uplift lives and make a meaningful impact!

Prayer Requests and Blessings

I have an urgent prayer request for an inmate at Butte County Jail who needs support as he prepares for his upcoming court date. His name is Scott, and we are seeking organizations that can mentor him for the next year after his release. He also asks for prayers for his family during this challenging time. We have provided him with funds for a tablet, which will facilitate video conferences with his children over the holidays, bringing some light to their lives.

In a wonderful turn of events, we rejoice in receiving a business grant! Let us continue to pray for the approval of additional grants.

Additionally, I ask for prayers for our upcoming kids' camp in June, where we aim to inspire and uplift the next generation. I will share more about that in the newsletter below.

Lastly, let us pray for guidance in finding a women’s director for Butte County Jail, as we strive to make a positive impact in our community. See below for further information.

Latest Memoir/Blog: A Journey of Inspiration

As we embrace this new year, let us constantly seek ways to improve ourselves, our churches, and our businesses. I encourage everyone to strengthen their community outreach programs. Our mission should be to bring people back to church and help them achieve financial freedom while also supporting them during life's challenges. Families with loved ones in the jail system endure significant strain at home. Some may wonder, "Why should we step in when so many social programs exist?" Reflect on this and take a moment to read the memoir/blog; I want to share my heartfelt perspective. Reading time: 5 minutes.

Social Media/Website Updates

We experienced an incredible month with over 56,000 impressions across all social media platforms, showcasing the reach of our message. Our YouTube channel received over 3,000 views, a testament to the impact of our shorts. We are filled with gratitude as we celebrate our first grant approval this month—praise the Lord! Let’s keep praying for more grants to come our way.

We witnessed one salvation and reached over 15 inmates through the latest technology in the jail system, bringing hope where it's needed most.

Our website is thriving with growing traffic. We've made some enhancements; check it out! We added an FAQ pop-up button to address common inquiries. Follow us on all social media for inspiration; the links are below.

What are we doing Now?

We are thrilled to partner with an organization that shares our passion for children. We have the incredible opportunity to host 600 kids right here in Chico, CA. Every child we serve has at least one family member in the jail system, and last year, they celebrated over 300 salvations. This year, our mission is to connect these kids with local ministry programs. We are currently in the planning stages, and the registration website hasn’t been launched yet. Please pray for our efforts to come together. I will keep you updated.

We are seeking a dedicated women's director for the Butte County Jail. This program needs the right person to inspire those women. They eagerly participate in discipleship programs and value group Bible studies upon their release. Given Butte County's quick-release jail system, aftercare is critical for these women. Meanwhile, men in the program seek support while incarcerated, yet their perspectives often shift upon release.

This year, we are blessed to assist a few families for Christmas. We will provide free Christmas trees, decorations, and presents, and we’re excited that next year, our reach will expand, helping even more families with loved ones in the jail system.

We are actively building a library of sermons and motivational videos for the inmates to enjoy on their tablets while family members can access the content through an app. We are in need of more content, so please reach out if you would like to contribute. We are also working to raise $18,000 to provide this content across jail servers nationwide. With a 30-day free trial in place, we are hopeful for progress by January or February 2025. ✝️ Because of Calvary ✝️

Our Vision and the Path Ahead

In January 2025, we will embark on a meaningful journey to the Sacramento Prison System. Our approach will begin with the email system, phone calls, and videoconferencing. We will make one trip per quarter to connect with key players who will inspire transformative baptisms and uplifting gospel meetings filled with music. For family members in need, we will extend our resources to other local churches, fostering a spirit of community and support.

We are excited to partner with Rock Deaf Ministry from San Diego, who generously allowed us to showcase one of their powerful videos on our website and YouTube. I invite you to experience the beauty of ASL language and music on the website or right here inside the newsletter. This partnership empowers the California Jail Outreach Organization to provide ASL interpretation, and we have an individual ready to lend their support to the organization. With over 142,000 deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals currently incarcerated in the United States, we have an incredible opportunity to make a difference in their lives.

My faith journey began on June 10, 1979, when I was saved and baptized on June 24, 1979. At 18, I felt the Lord's powerful call to become a preacher during a Christian camp. I spent three transformative years at Bible College, where I grew in my ability to preach and serve the Lord.

During my time at Bible College, I was called to serve my country, dedicating 22 years to protecting the land of the brave.

Champion of the Day

We are excited to partner with "I Can: A Journey of Faith and Growth," a Christian curriculum that teaches toddlers about biblical values. One example is the lesson "I Can Pray," which includes simple teachings, practical exercises, and coloring pages related to the Bible.

The curriculum will be available on Amazon at full price. However, churches, Sunday school teachers, homeschoolers, and Christian parents can get it for a donation price. Stay tuned for email sign-ups as we work on this project.
