Subject: 🇺🇸 CA Jail Outreach Monthly Newsletter - Inspiring Change, February Edition, Volume 2

Thank you for reading our monthly newsletter. Your support helps us continue serving people who need help.

I hope everyone had a good month! We had an excellent month, and I look forward to sharing our experiences with you. I want to express our prayers for your organization and the church you belong to. I also want to thank all the businesses that meet the community's needs and provide jobs for our residents. I apologize for this late newsletter; we have been focusing a lot of time on those in the jail system and assisting the families and children who need help.

This newsletter will discuss who we are helping and how we are growing. It will also discuss the organization's future. Please continue to pray for us, and we will keep you in our prayers.

"The Delight of The Shadow"

New Monthly Theme

Song of Solomon 2:3 - As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste.

In the Scriptures, shadows aren’t always seen in a positive light, but there’s something wonderful about sitting in God's shadow that brings immense joy. The bride beautifully expresses that "his fruit was sweet to my taste." Isn’t it interesting how a shadow can provide such joy and sweetness to someone who is experiencing it? It’s not the shadow itself that brings delight, but the beautiful presence of God just beyond it that turns it into a source of happiness and sweetness.

We all face shadows in our lives from time to time. One well-known example is the shadow of death mentioned in Psalm 23, which reminds us that a deeper comfort can be found even in tough moments. Read More Click Here

We sent this to several inmates and shared it with their families.

Exciting Updates

CA Jail Outreach!

Theme, Projects and Challenges Updates

 The Movements!

The Luke 15:7 Project has made significant progress inside and outside jails. I have received numerous pieces of feedback from families, inmates, and organizations involved in this initiative. The project has expanded to three different jails. I have taught people how to lead others to Christ using the simple ABC approach. As a result, participants have also successfully led their colleagues to Christ. I connected with many of them to go over the plan of salvation and continue their discipleship through the jail email system, video conferences, and visits behind glass. We have witnessed over 12 salvations and welcomed new families into the organization. We plan to continue this project for a year, changing the theme every three months while maintaining the same goal of guiding people to heaven. You can read more about the program by clicking here.

In January, our theme was "Vessel Unto Honour," which had great results with the men involved. About seven participants engaged in weekly email Bible lessons on being a Vessel Unto Honour for themselves and their families. One gentleman who joined us provided an excellent opportunity to share our biblical knowledge. You can read more about this by Clicking Here

Participation in the 40 Days and 40 Mile Challenge was limited, with only a few sign-ups from inside the jail. Those who participated took their Bibles and read the book of Proverbs while walking around the basketball courts. God Is Up To Something - Get Ready for Your Divine Upgrade

Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Below are excerpts from the Bible study I conducted and shared with inmates and their families.

There are several examples in the Bible where people failed to heed God's warnings. I would like to highlight two significant ones. The first is Noah, and the Ark. God gave Noah the plan to build an ark because a flood was coming. He warned others about the impending rain and the need to prepare, but they did not listen. As a result, they missed the opportunity to board the ark.

If God can use a donkey to get Balaam’s attention (Numbers 22:21-35), then we can trust that He can speak to us in all sorts of ways! It’s important to stay open and aware of what God is trying to share with us. Before diving into the rest of this memoir/blog, take a moment to read these scriptures. I hope they help guide your thoughts!

7. A Decision Happening in Your Life

Sometimes it feels like God puts us in situations that ask us to make tough decisions, even when we’re not quite ready for them. It's okay to say no when you need to! It’s important for us to think about what we need to do to embrace this new path or shift in our lives. That’s why taking time to pray and seek advice from others can be so helpful. Changes like this often require some planning, not just for ourselves but for our families, too. Saying no gives us the chance to prepare for the amazing plan God has in store for us! Just as He revealed to Noah what was to come, Noah then took the time to plan and prepare for the future. He’s letting us catch a glimpse of our future too. The good news is that I believe these moments are like little nudges from God, encouraging us to prepare for something wonderful ahead—our divine upgrade! Meanwhile, prepare to say yes and embrace the divine upgrade.

What Are We Doing Now?

We are continuing to help inmates. This month, many inmates contacted us for prayer and to send Bible lessons through the email system. Thank you to the churches that referred us to individuals needing prayer inside the county jail. One gentleman referred over five new folks who needed help and prayer. Unfortunately, the judge decided to send all of them to federal prison. We will continue to track them and connect via email or video once they finish their three-week introduction period. If you can, sending $20 will help us offset the costs of emails and video conferences. We also send funds to those with tablet privileges, allowing them to communicate with us and their loved ones.

With families we were able to assist a couple of them. One family needed help getting an EBT card set up because the husband refused to sign the paperwork for the benefits review. We aided them in the online process and connected them with a social worker. We provided groceries during the waiting period and sent $50 worth of food through Instacart. Another case involved a veteran serving time in federal prison who faced issues with his veterans' pay. We worked with his family to file the appropriate paperwork and linked them with veterans' organizations to monitor the pay update process. They were behind on a few months' rent. We contacted a veteran organization to help the family catch up. They managed to get the family caught up and even received three additional months of rental assistance.

Please continue to pray with us as we start reaching out in the Sacramento area. We have been conducting emails and video conferences. Our goal is to get inside the prison and host services. A social worker from Fresno prison expressed interest in linking with our organization to understand better how we reach individuals inside and outside the jail system. Please pray that our meeting will be effective and we can answer all her questions. They reached out to us by email. We constantly seek help and donations to move the organization in the right direction, so please consider visiting the website.

Our Vision And The Path Ahead

The camping months are approaching, and we're working with two organizations to guide us. Our focus is to attend camps catering to children with a family member in the jail system. I've learned that these kids often face a lot of mental health challenges and low self-esteem, and some are in the foster care system, moving from place to place. One week, I'll receive training to become a camp director, while at the other camp, I'll learn what we need to do to facilitate a camp in California.

We're also starting to focus on gathering donations to support families and children affected by the jail system. We're planning to host a fireworks stand, so please pray that we can finalize the paperwork. I understand many businesses are busy with their taxes right now, and I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. If you're interested in contributing after your taxes are completed, please get in touch with me. I would be happy to sit down with you and answer any questions. Financial support is crucial for any organization; even a small contribution can make a significant difference. My email is always open for discussions about donations and our plans for their use. We can also meet up for coffee or have a video chat.

Thank you for reading the monthly newsletter. Please continue to pray with us as we strive to help those in need, support families, and care for the children caught in this challenging situation. This week, please catch up on all the Bible studies we share with those in the jail system and their families. Click here to read them.

God bless you all, and take care!
