Subject: A BIG Thank You from Dare2Draw @ the 29th Annual Arts Gowanus Open Studios!

A BIG GOTHAM CITY Thank You, from Dare2Draw!!

What an incredible weekend at the 29th Annual Arts Gowanus Open Studios! The energy, creativity and community spirit we experienced were absolutely phenomenal. A huge, heartfelt thank you to every single person who joined us, drew with us and shared their passion for art.

Saturday was a powerful start! A special shoutout to our amazing mentoring artists, Led Bradshaw and his awesome son, Jake Bradshaw, for sharing their powerful creative journey with us via JakeJet Pulse.

It was so inspiring to meet so many of our Gowanus neighbors who filled us with enthusiasm and told us, YES! “Bring Dare2Draw back, and to Gowanus!” We heard you, and we can't wait to return!

Sunday brought even more inspiration! Massive thanks to our incredible guests, Lisa Burdige and John Hazard, the creative masterminds behind the brilliant "Background Noise Comic" webcomic. Your insights into storytelling, webcomics and building a creative partnership were truly inspirational for us all. Be sure to follow their work HERE!

To everyone who came out to draw, learn and connect—thank you. It was a joy to meet you and your families. And to all who came back to pick up their Quick Draw sketches, it was so good to see you, again! Your continued excitement is what fuels us.

None of this would have been possible without the amazing organizers, Johnny Thornton and Emily Chiavelli from Arts Gowanus. Thank you for hosting this fantastic event and for all you do to support the vibrant arts community in Gowanus.

We are profoundly grateful to our co-producer, Lisa B. Miller, whose invaluable partnership is essential to these events. A special thank you goes to our incredible on-the-ground dream team — Matylda N., Elena Quinones, Eva S., Max Mamarella, Jude Deluca, Joel, and David—whose tireless work ensured every detail was perfect and made the weekend seamless and fun. Finally, our deepest thanks to Tom and the entire team at 540 President Street; your hospitality and essential support were the foundation that made this wonderful weekend possible.

We're so grateful for all the love and support. Gowanus, you were amazing!

We can't wait to see what we create together next.
