Subject: [ Info ] ASL Grants and Scholarships 2Ø22

Dear Friends!

Hey, something awesome came by our desk, today, and we would love to share it with you guys!

THIS opportunity is from one of the most renowned creator organizations in our city, our friends at the Art Students League.

WE know that many of you guys from past D2D events would just kill this cold!

Deadline for applications is May 15.

For over a century, The Art Students League of New York has helped emerging artists to gain access to a high-quality education through our Grants and Scholarships, which have covered the cost of tuition and provided funds to supplement the education of thousands of League students over the years.

The League’s scholarships are open to current and new/incoming students. Additional requirements must be met for grant applications, including a requirement for course hours. A full listing of requirements can be found on our website.

All of our applicants are reviewed by a panel of judges, unaffiliated with The League, who each represent an important and unique perspective on artmaking, fine arts education, and the art world at large. The goal of our grants and scholarships are to provide new and greater opportunities to artists who need them.

New opportunities added this year include the Bruce Dorfman Grant for Assemblage/Mixed Media, the Ezra Jack Keats Scholarships for Illustration, open to BIPOC artists, the Portraits for Good Scholarship for BIPOC artists working in figurative painting, the Richard Tweedy Drawing Scholarship, and the Davyd Whaley Memorial Scholarship for abstract painting. A full list of available opportunities can be found on our website.

This year, all applications are due by May 15. Jurors will review all applications by June 15. Winners will be announced shortly after.

We encourage any interested artists to consider applying for a grant or scholarship today.
