Ready to Listen - Karen Pourbabaee

“Speak, for Thy servant is listening.” I Samuel 3:10 NAS

There is a cacophony of noise in the world, but the one voice we need to hear most is God’s. His heart is for us to be so closely connected that we will pay attention when He does speak. It’s all about the relationship. As Christians, we are part of the sheepfold of God. And in John 14:27, Christ promises, “My sheep hear My voice.” It is possible, when we call upon Him and are ready to listen. “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and tell you great and mighty things which you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3)

God speaks in many ways. Few will ever hear the audible voice of God, but He will get His words to you in a myriad of manners. Foremost, in His Living Words of scripture. As you open up His Word, pray for His message to be revealed. His inspiration awaits. The Lord might choose to communicate with you through other believers. Jesus’ chosen apostles spoke His Words and saw the world changed. He can inspire His current-day disciples to relay His Words to you; pray for their confirmation in scripture. Sometimes God speaks in a language many know best, through circumstances. Every time circumstances are weighing down upon you, say Speak, Lord, and take time to listen.

As you listen, you start to recognize God’s voice. You come to know Him. As you listen more, you will hear more. You will come to know Him more. By speaking and listening, by prayer, you form and strengthen relationship with the Lord. Prayer-full hearts are ready to call upon Him and ready to listen.

Speak, Lord, I am listening. Amen.

An in-depth study of the factual evidence leads a person to realize how little faith they need to believe, while they gain great faith at the same time.

Recent Amazon Review:

"For anyone on the fence, backsliding, or doubtful this book clarifies misunderstandings, perceived contradictions, and outright lies. I was led to read this book at a time when I thought I was over Jesus; but truth defeats lies every time and never forsakes the believer." 2-18-17
