2014 Gilgal Chardonnay
100% Chardonnay
Golan Heights, Israel
$16

Produced entirely from Chardonnay grapes grown in the Golan Heights. The cool climate, rocky volcanic soil, and high altitude are ideal conditions for growing classic wine grape varieties. Aging in French oak barrels for 4 months adds a pleasing toastiness to the lemony character typical of Chardonnay.
2013 Sion Red Wine
30% Sangiovese, 23% Gamay Noir, 21%Pinot Noir, 12% Syrah, 12% Tinta Cao, 2% Tempranillo
Golan Heights, Israel
$16

Produced from grapes grown in high-elevation vineyards on the cool volcanic plateau of the Golan Heights, the 2013 Sion is a unique blend of Sangiovese, Gamay Noir, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Tinta Cao and Tempranillo fruit. The 2013 Sion displays raspberry and sour cherry fruit notes, rounded out with violet characters and hints of tobacco and black pepper. Light- to medium-bodied, this bright fresh wine is aromatic and drinkable.

2012 Gail Mountain Rose
79% Sangiovese, 7% Barbera, 7% Pinot Noir, 7% Grenache
Upper Galilee, Israel
$12

This wine is dry and lively with attractive aromas of fresh strawberry, rose petals, citrus fruit and spices. This enticing rose petal pink colored number is an interesting blend grown in the higher elevations of the Upper Galilee, with dry to off-dry notes of strawberry, raspberry, citrus and spices, and with just enough acidity to remain refreshing, if not altogether lively; charming fruity aftertaste, to be sipped with grilled fish or pool-side.
