Domaine de la Barbinière is a family-run winery located on the western edge of the Loire Valley and beneficiates from the cooling influence of the Atlantic ocean. The range of white wines showcases Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay in a way that’s entirely different from other regions thanks to the distinctive soils and influence of the Atlantic. Unlike many producers in the region, harvest is done entirely by hand, and the wines are all fermented spontaneously. Certified Organic in 2015.

Fiefs Vendeens Appellation, Chantonnay Commune, Loire, France

Sourced from the domaine’s various parcels on green amphibolite soils.

Whole clusters are gently pressed, followed by spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel.

The wine ages for 6 months in stainless steel on the fine lees. Bottled without filtration.
