We enjoyed chatting with you at the POWERUp 2022 conference in Louisiana. We always leave technology conferences smarter about the realities of IT management, learning a thing or two from the people working in the trenches. This year was no different.

The results are in!

Quite a few conference attendees took a minute or two to give us some thoughtful input about the critical technologies that they work with, so we thought we would share some of the results with you.

We asked which database your company works with. On average, respondents manage 2 database technologies.

A big majority uses DB2-SQL at 83%, along with DB2 - DDS at 61%. More than 40% also work with SQL server, while a few others (<10%) use Oracle.
We also asked which software language your organization works with.

Over 80% of use RPG, with Java the next closest at 37%. COBOL and C# follow at 23% and 19% respectively.
