Food for Holiday Thought ✨️❄️🥂
The holidays are a good time to bank some catch-up knowledge. All it takes is a bit of study here and there between shopping trips, holiday gatherings, and good old fashioned down time.

We found some good food-for-thought in an article on the Netflix Tech Blog, "How Product Teams Can Build Empathy Through Experimentation". While the article is focused on product management, it's a relevant article for anyone who delivers a tech interface for end-users. As usual with the Netflix Tech Blog, the article is thorough and well thought-out.

Look for more on that, and some links to insights on building empathetic interfaces, remote work, source code security, and more down below.

Heads Up
How Product Teams Can Build Empathy Through Experimentation
Building interfaces for real people takes time, care, and lots of iteration to get things just right.

According to Travis Brooks, Netflix Product Manager for Experimentation Platform:

"When you’re building things, whether you’re a visual designer, or a designer of an API, or a PM, or anybody who’s building something, lean into trying to put yourself in the shoes of the user. And if you can do that, not just at the beginning when you write down the specs, but all the way through the process, you make a better product in the end."
