The CM First Group support site is loaded with updated tutorials to help you get the job done. In this issue, we searched for one of our best examples, and are excited to tell you about one of our most useful based on community feedback, the dynamic tree menu (scroll a little).
You can also learn a thing about frameworkless web components in this issue's heads up article.
If you're into web services/web generation and multi-factor authentication/single sign on, take a serious look at the CA 2E CA Plex Worldwide conference coming up in the fall. There is quite a bit more on that in this issue, including some really useful remote access features we helped work out with the conference team.
And as always, to help you leverage CM WebClient in your web application efforts, feel free to browse our tutorial articles below and on the CM First support site.
Happy app-making! |

Save critical screen space, and provide a better overall user interface with a dynamic tree menu in WebClient. And better yet, the tree menu nodes are generated by data defined in a database table for easy update and maintainability.

Heads Up An Introduction to Frameworkless Web Components
|
|
Leveraging web components is a key skill for web developers, but the complexity and number of solutions has grown manifold over the years with the rise of frameworks, making the task difficult.
Fortunately, Sitepoint has a primer on how to get started using frameworkless web components, and avoid the headaches and learning curves associated with frameworks.
According to the article, frameworkless web components are worth a try because...
"They’re lightweight and fast, they can implement functionality that’s impossible in JavaScript alone, they work inside any JavaScript framework, and they’ll be supported for years — if not decades."
Sounds good to me.

CA 2E CA Plex Fall Worldwide Conference Fall Conference Update
|
|
The 12th CA 2E CA Plex Developer Conference is a great forum for upgrading your WebClient skills with sessions covering web services/web generation, multi-factor authentication/single sign on and others.
If you're on the fence about attending because you are far away, take note that the remote experience is about to get a lot better.
Continued mask mandates and COVID-related restrictions prompted us to think about ways to help make the conference a more compelling experience for those who will be attending from far away. We put our heads together with the CA 2E CA Plex Worldwide conference team and came up with some solutions.
The conference will now provide increased access to trainers with a dedicated conference LinkedIn page before, during and after the conference. You can message course trainers directly to ask follow-up questions and get advice.
To enhance the remote learning experience, and give attendees more resources, they are extending virtual machine access for thirty days post-conference for those who request it. So now, you can get your hands dirty with the important training applications post-conference.
On a final note, the Austin F1 race finals are SOLD OUT for the first time in its history, and the conference has only 2 tickets left. The VIP package includes access to the 3 day event, Billy Joel concerts, and the final race.
So if you've been thinking about adding the VIP F1 experience, now's the time to get 'em while they last before someone else takes the last two. Simply register at the link below and select the VIP F1 package.
