Heads Up Silicon Angle: Supercloud is becoming a thing
|
|
A year ago, Dave Vellante of Silicon Angle highlighted an emerging trend where a cloud ecosystem can tend towards a multicloud system, apparently driven by multivendor. He notes that we've now evolved beyond that into a "supercloud" infrastructure.
He defines supercloud as "an abstraction layer that resides above and across hyperscale infrastructure, connects on-premises workloads and eventually stretches to the edge."
In his breaking analysis, Vellante shares examples of emergent supercloud in action, including who's taking the leap along with the technical limits and some business use case examples along the way.

CA Communites Webinar Register now for the CA 2E (Synon) and CA Plex July 13th Summer Update
|

The CA 2E (SYNON) and CA Plex summer update is scheduled for Wednesday July 13th. They'll discuss the current state of plans for the 13th CA Plex/2E Worldwide Conference scheduled for May in Miami and solicit feedback from the community. They will also discuss the latest IBM news on hardware and conferences, and how that can affect CA 2E Broadcom licensing. Expect coverage of Windows 11 for CA Plex as well.
The meeting will close with two lightning talks: "Implementing a CI/CD Pipeline for CA Plex", and "Modernize Your CA 2E Applications with Secure APIs".

ICYMI: Broadcom Confirms CA Plex and CA 2E Support as of January 31st, 2020.
|
|
As of January 31, 2020, Broadcom (CA) announced that in general it will support the latest versions of CA 2E and CA Plex only. For CA 2E (Synon) that is version 8.7. For CA Plex, that is version 7.2.1.
