Greetings, Cinemapolitans!
Back for another year, the 21st Annual Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival arrives this week with more than FORTY screening events at the theater beginning on Wednesday. That means lots of changes to our regular showtimes, so play close attention to the schedule, AND pay close attention to the new opener that gets squeezed in on Friday:
  • Kiera Knightley, Alexander Skarsgård, and Jason Clarke star in the post-war love triangle tryst, The Aftermath. Set in Hamburg just after the Allied victory, the film is based on the novel by Rhidian Brook. Fionnuala Halligan of the Screen Daily says it "works best when looking at the bewildered people who have been left behind, literally, to pick up the pieces."

The Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival (FLEFF) returns for a week of screenings and events at Ithaca College and right here at Cinemapolis.

FLEFF embraces and interrogates sustainability across all of its forms: economic, social, ecological, political, cultural, technological, and aesthetic.

This year’s festival probes the theme of DISRUPTIONS.

More than FORTY film screening events here at Cinemapolis begin on Wednesday, April 3 and run through Sunday, April 7.

Funding for the 2019 Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival is provided by Ithaca College, the major presenting sponsor, and the generosity of other outside funders including the Park Foundation and the Atkinson Center for a Sustainable Future.
While you’re planning your next week at the movies, get in soon to catch Ruben Brandt, Collector. It has its last screening THIS Thursday, April 4th!

 See you at the movies!
