Tomorrow is the 2026 Israeli–Palestinian Joint Memorial Ceremony. Together with the Parents Circle – Families Forum, we will once again offer an alternative message to Israelis, Palestinians, and the world. We refuse to be part of the militaristic rhetoric shaping our societies, and we reject the idea that war, occupation, and loss are inevitable. Instead, we come together to recognize one another’s humanity and to call for a future beyond violence, revenge, and more bloodshed.

You will hear testimonies from four bereaved family members;

Liora Eilon is Israeli. Her son Tal was killed by Hamas on October 7 in Kfar Aza.

Kholoud Houshieh is Palestinian. Her son Muhammad was killed in Jenin by the Israeli army in January 2024 and another of her sons is being held in administrative detention.

Ayala Metzger is Israeli. Her father-in-law and mother-in-law were kidnapped to Gaza from Nir Oz. Her mother-in-law was released during the first deal and her father-in-law was killed in captivity.

Mohamed Da’das is a Palestinian from Nablus. His nephew was killed by the Israeli army.
