Subject: Invitation! The Joint Nakba Remembrance Ceremony on May 15

Dear Friends,

Today I want to invite you to join us for the 4th Nakba Remembrance Ceremony, taking place on 15th May, 8pm Jerusalem time.

The first Nakba Ceremony was held in May 2020 as an online event against the backdrop of the Corona crisis. Today, it has evolved to a staged ceremony held in the Bethlehem region, with a live audience including Palestinians, Israelis, and international guests, and broadcast to tens of thousands of people around the world.

The Ceremony will offer a unique variety of testimonies, special guest speakers and original artistic expression related to the Nakba and the fate of the Palestinian people.

In this short video I share my personal story and more detail on the Nakba, our movement, and the ceremony. Please click below to watch;

The joint Nakba Ceremony expresses our belief that reconciliation, freedom and respect for everyone living between the Jordan River and the sea involves a sincere and emotional confrontation with the past. We can then begin to use it as a source of inspiration, to envisage a peaceful future, free of occupation and full of optimism.

Please donate to the Joint Nakba Ceremony and support healing and hope;

Join us and open your heart and mind to a confrontation with the past, in order to create a more equal future for all based on respect, freedom and liberty.

In Peace & Solidarity,

Rana Salman

Executive Director, Palestine
