Subject: The Israeli-Palestinian Joint Memorial Recording

Dear Friends,

Thank you to everyone who joined us last night for the Israeli-Palestinian Memorial ceremony. Over 15,000 people attended the ceremony in Tel Aviv and another 300,000 more were with us online.

"As human beings we share the same pain. And perhaps if we see and meet and speak, the flames of hatred will subside, and there will be room to add a little reconciliation and life." Yuval Sapir, in memory of his sister, Tamar.

You can view the ceremony recording here;

Thanks to your support, we have reached 78% of our fundraising goal. The ceremony is a huge undertaking, and one that we take on with all of our determination, strength and resources. The international donation page will remain open for a few more days or until we reach our goal, and thank to those that have donated, and to those that will give now.

The days following the ceremony are emotional and reflective but also a time to look ahead and envisage a new reality. We witnessed the best of humanity, and have a renewed sense of hope that change can come, justice can be realised, and peace can be achieved.

We would be grateful if you could complete a short survey to share your thoughts and feelings on the ceremony.

In the lyrics of the late Yehonatan Geffen who gave his final performance to the ceremony;

"And it will be better

it will be better, yes

though I break down sometimes

but tonight

oh, tonight,

I will stay with you."

Together, we can create this new reality with equality, liberation, and freedom for all.

Until next year...
