Richard Cohen will speak tonight at Club Palestino Libanes at 6pm in Monterrey, Mexico. Homosexual activists are planning a protest outside.
Why were you coming to Monterrey, Mexico to conduct this conference?
I was originally invited to speak in Monterrey by a local therapist. At the last minute she cancelled the talk due to bullying and harassment from homosexual activists. With all my heart I wanted to come to Monterrey and convey my love for the homosexual community and share the good news that changing from homosexual to heterosexual is possible.

With all of the negativity about you, why have you decided to speak tonight at the conference?
Members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community accused me of being "homophobic," "anti-gay," and spreading "hatred," "discrimination" and "lies" about the homosexual community. There is not one fact in these accusations. I love everyone. I teach and promote true tolerance, real diversity, and equality for all. I needed to come to Monterrey to set the record straight on two points: (1) I love the LGBT community, and (2) Scientifically people are not essentially born with homosexual feelings and therefore changing from same-sex attracted to opposite-sex attracted is possible. I have done it myself, as a former homosexual now married for 33 years to my lovely wife and we have three beautiful children, and as a professional psychotherapist for 25 years, I have assisted thousands of men and women worldwide who experience unwanted same-sex attraction fulfill their heterosexual potential and dreams. Change is possible!
What is your vision on homosexuality, as it has evolved and where do we go?
We live in a world where dreams come true. I want to share the good news that people are not really born with homosexual feelings and that changing from homosexual to heterosexual is possible. I have developed three successful and groundbreaking protocols: (1) four-stage plan for those who experience unwanted same-sex attraction to achieve their heterosexual dreams, (2) twelve principles for family members and friends to institute, helping their same-sex attracted loved ones fulfill their true gender identity and heterosexual potential, and (3) three-day training for therapists, clergy, coaches, and ministry leaders, teaching them how to assist those with same-sex attraction and their loved ones. We have founded International Healing Foundation Mexico to provide those affected by same-sex attraction and their loved ones with substantial help and real hope.
Compared with other countries, what do you see happening in Mexico?
I see such promise and hope in Mexico. This is a country of strong religious and family values. It is imperative to promote the truth about homosexuality in love in order to preserve and protect the family. Those who experience same-sex attraction are wonderful and beautiful men and women. It is the responsibility of the church, society, and family to learn how to love them. In this way, we will help them fulfill their true gender identity and destiny as God's children. I lived a gay life. I know how homosexual men and women think and feel. It is my destiny to teach the church, family, and society how to really love these beautiful, sensitive souls.
What is your therapy from the scientific point of view?
At the International Healing Foundation over the past 25 years, we use scientifically proven successful therapeutic modalities to assist those who experience same-sex attraction and their loved ones. Our 3-Day Counselor Training Program teaches various therapies that assist men and women dealing with unwanted homosexual feelings, and how to help their family and friends. We are now conducting research studies to show the efficacy of our scientific success helping same-sex attracted men and women fulfill their heterosexual dreams.
What message would you give to parents on the topic?
It's important to understand that parents do not cause their children to experience same-sex attraction. Homosexual feelings result from a combination of the child's temperament, as well as environmental and familial influences. The good news is that change occurs when healing is experienced. There is so much that the family can do to help their same-sex attracted children fulfill their innate heterosexual potential. I wrote the book Gay Children, Straight Parents: A Plan for Family Healing for this purpose. It will soon be released in Spanish.
What message would you give to young people?
Today the media, entertainment industry, academia, and in some instances, religions teach: "born gay and cannot change." You have been duped! Scientifically this is NOT true. People are not really born with homosexual feelings. Follow the truth wherever it may lead. The American Psychological Association stated in 2008 that essentially no one is born with homosexual feelings.
"Although much research has examined the possible genetic, hormonal, developmental, social, and cultural influences on sexual orientation, no findings have emerged that permit scientists to conclude that sexual orientation is determined by any particular factor or factors. Many think that nature and nurture both play complex roles; most people experience little or no sense of choice about their sexual orientation."

You will find that men and women fit together perfectly and beautifully. I lived a homosexual life for many years. It didn't work for me. I followed my dream to marry a woman and have a family. Today I am living my dream. My wife and I have three incredible children and it's the greatest! Dreams do come true. Change is possible.
