Subject: Book Festival Recap - and Upcoming Book Launch Event! 📖

Grateful for a wonderful day of fellowship and community. Let’s continue to grow together!

CCI and the Bay Area Book Festival

Fun. Sun. Books. Banter. Hopefully, you enjoyed the Bay Area Book Festival as much as we did at CCI. Thank you for taking the time to visit, converse, and ask questions! We relish speaking with people who’ve maintained their curiosity, despite society’s fear-mongering. Building connections between us, and within us, is our only way forward. CCI provides education that cuts through the noise. Visit our online store for resources specifically designed for your well-being.

Book launch for One with the World

With Jack Petranker and Morgan Wells

Thursday, June 18 2026, 5:30 - 7:00 pm PT

Location: 2210 Harold Way, Berkeley, CA 94704

This event is FREE and open to the public!

Our founder and Senior Teacher, Jack Petranker, launches his new book One With the World. In conversation with Morgan Wells, Director of CCI, he’ll expound on his vision of how personal healing becomes collective wellbeing. “Through carefully crafted experiential exercises and thoughtful, engaging prose, One with the World reveals how the stories we tell, the language we use, and our unquestioned assumptions hold us back from real fulfillment. It also shows how learning to be fully present can help heal the divisions in our fragmented society.”

You can purchase the book directly from Dharma Publishing (https://dharmapublishing.com), which supports its operations. You can also help promote the book by purchasing it in advance on Amazon (advance purchases help boost the title), or however else you usually get books. If you do buy on Amazon, don’t forget to leave a review. That helps boost sales too.

We look forward to seeing you there. And bring a friend!

NowHere Pilot Program

With Ignacio Ercole

This Pilot Program is FREE and open to the public!

We're excited to invite you to participate in the NowHere Pilot Program, an in-person eight-week journey designed to explore a new way of learning, relating, and being.

There is no cost to participate.

Developed by the Center for Creative Inquiry, NowHere weaves together contemplative practice, emotional awareness, connection with nature, and relational presence. Over the course of eight weeks, you'll explore key aspects of three foundational dimensions —exploring experience, exploring nature, and exploring with others— creating space for personal growth and deeper connection.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of something from the very beginning, helping to shape an approach to learning and living that nurtures the qualities we most need in ourselves and in the next generation.

If you are curious about it, visit our Pilot Program page to learn more. We'd love to have you with us.

Save the Date - Make Music Day in Berkeley

Join CCI in celebrating Berkeley's Make Music Day on Sunday, June 21st! We will be using our space as a venue for 3 talented musicians throughout the day, with performances at 11am-12pm, 12:30-1:30, and, at 2:30-3:30, a performance by the talented violinist Pyper will be led as a joint contemplative practice.

Be sure to mark Sunday, June 21 on your calendar. We anticipate an electric and unifying day in Berkeley!

You can find us at the Center for Creative Inquiry on 2210 Harold Way.

Give the gift of creative inquiry

Looking for the perfect gift to inspire your children, cousins or grandkids? Our NowHere guidebook brings together contemplative practice, emotional awareness, connection with nature, and relational presence to support the development of the qualities we most need in ourselves—and in the next generation.

In Visible Mind is a guided reading meditation designed to help you discover your present moment without expectation, with practices based on Full Presence Mindfulness and the Time, Space, Knowledge Vision.

The Center for Creative Inquiry (CCI) explores alternate forms of knowledge and inquiry and their potential to bring about fundamental change at the individual, cultural, and social level.

CCI headquarters is located in downtown Berkeley, California, USA.
