Important Measles Announcement This morning, we were notified that a participant in one of our summer programs developed symptoms of measles today. At this point, it is an unconfirmed case, but we are working with the county health department on mitigation efforts and next steps while we wait for the test results to return.
Sound Foundations and Quest have both been cancelled as of this afternoon. Leaders will be contacting parents in the hours ahead; Battalion will remain here and continue with precautions. Since the individual was in the Dining Room at a meal during their potentially contagious window, if the test results confirm measles, all men in the Battalion would be classified as having been exposed to the virus.
We are in communication with the county health department and will keep you posted as we have additional information.
