Battalion Welcome & Cookout
The Battalion is hosting a cookout at the lake on Friday, July 3 to celebrate Independence Day, and all staff is welcome to join us for the evening. Battalion will get to the lake at 3:00 PM, and dinner will be at 6:00 PM.

The cookout will replace our welcome to the Battalion event for this quarter, so please come out and help welcome our newest batch of students. If you would like to eat with the Battalion, please RSVP for kitchen-provided meals, or bring your own! There should be grill space if you'd like to grill your own food once the burgers are finished cooking. In case of bad weather, the party will be moved to the gym.
Transportation Notice
Steve Kientz will be out of the office 6/297/1. Please contact Randy Switzer if you have any transportation or auto shop needs.

Sound Foundations
Hello Campus Staff and families, we wanted to let you know about some exciting opportunities with Sound Foundations this Summer!

1. Auditing option for all of the Sound Foundations class content for only $480 (with staff discount)! Grants access to all Sound Foundations class times and digital access to all class materials. It does not include any activities outside the classroom.

2. Option to attend/pay on a class-by-class basis where you can participate in one specific class topic during Sound Foundations for only $50/class topic! Classes offered can be viewed HERE.

3. Anyone on campus (15 years or older) is invited to participate in our Sound Foundations choir
there is no cost for staff/family members. The instruction Mr. Fox and Teresa Ong offer, and the incredible experience of singing in a disciplined choir, is a very unique opportunity and quite fun! Choir rehearsals will take place each weekday during Sound Foundations (July 7-23) from 1:453:45 pm, with our last rehearsal being on July 24 from 9:1511:15 am, followed by our final concert that evening.

Questions? Reach out to music@iblp.org or Susannah Hulin at (832) 948-6346.
Welcome Baby Arthur
Matthew and Heidi welcomed Arthur Thorsten ("Tor-sten") Moody on June 18! If you'd like to support the Moody's with a meal, you can sign up here. In lieu of a baby shower, diaper money would be most appreciated!
Water Conservation Notice
Just a note to be mindful of water conservation on campus; if you notice anything that might indicate a leak, please let us know. Grateful for your help and support as temperatures warm and our cooling tower uses more water to maintain air conditioning in our campus buildings!
Gun Range Closed
Due to logging operations, the Gun Range is closed. If you have questions, please contact Jen Solberg. A reopening notice will appear in the Campus Safety Updates Signal Chat.
Farming Resource Class
Join us Tuesday, July 7 at 6:30 PM in the Chapel with Kevin Cahill!
Kevin will be sharing his experiences with foraging, plants, and their health benefits. Some plants we think are weeds are actually edible, nutritious, and even medicinal. The Farming Resource Class is designed to share information to help enrich the community in gardening, farming, homesteading, and survival skills. Public welcome! Spread the word!
Battalion Update | Capt. Winkler
The Battalion all arrived back to campus on Saturday, and are kicking off their classes today. There are 19 men in 2nd Phase, 5 in Leadership & Communications, and 5 in Tech Rescue. Please join us on Friday evening for a celebration of July 4 and a welcome to the Battalion cookout at the lake.
