National Chicken Lady Day Giveaway!

National Chicken Lady Day is observed on Nov. 4 of each year. This holiday, which was first established in the United States in 2001, honors Dr. Marthenia "Tina" Dupree. This woman worked for more than a decade as the Director of Community Relations and Training at the second-largest chicken restaurant chain in the world. Amid her tireless community involvement, she earned the nickname "The Chicken Lady."

These days, the holiday still celebrates Dupree, but is also an opportunity to honor and recognize "chicken ladies" of all kinds. And if you're involved in raising or selling chickens, that includes you too. Here at Cackle Hatchery, we think you're worth celebrating!
