Subject: Friend, what do turbulent & inflationary times mean for real estate?

 

Hi Friend,


There's a lot of talk about inflation these days as Canada’s annual inflation hit 7.7% in May, the highest since January 1983. It seems like inflation is attributed to a lot of things, but there's really one underlying cause. In this video from 1978, Milton Friedman explains that inflation is a monetary phenomenon, when the quantity of money increases faster than the quantity of goods. I found it very interesting!


What does that mean for real estate? Well, I think this says it the best:

 



Personally we are now focused on markets and strategies that are going to provide the best hedge against the uncertainty in the coming years. There's been a tremendous migration of people from the northern US states to the southern states. Couple that with high construction costs, it has created a serious housing shortage.


This provides an opportunity for real estate investors like you and me, who can help fix the problem by buying & improving distressed properties. We believe there is a limited window to take advantage of this shift, and we invite you to invest alongside us.
