BREAKING: Suspect in Palisades Standoff Identified

A man who barricaded himself in a Pacific Palisades garage on Lombard Ave. early Monday morning, April 11, has been identified.

Kharl Stuart, 32, has been booked for attempted murder with bail set at $3.125 million. His first court appearance is scheduled for May 10.

Stuart allegedly led police on a pursuit in a stolen vehicle from Long Beach before eventually crashing into a parked car at Lombard Ave. and Earlham St., fleeing into a nearby garage and firing a handgun at LAPD officers.

The standoff with LAPD officers and SWAT teams lasted nearly six hours before Stuart was arrested.
