BREAKING NEWS: Fallen Power Lines Cause PCH Closure

Pacific Coast Highway has closed in both directions today, Dec. 2, at Sunset Boulevard because of burning and dangling power lines across all lanes, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The incident was reported at 10:19 a.m. in the 17300 block of Pacific Coast Highway, according to Brian Humphrey, a spokesman for the LAFD.

Los Angeles Department of Water and Power workers are en route to the scene of the incident, according to the LAFD.

There are more than 300 LADWP customers without electricity near the area where the power line incident occurred, according to DWP's real-time outage map.
